The journey began a year ago, after I began my self-declared sabbatical following my relocation back to Singapore. I spent 2 very dark months wandering in the wilderness, feeling restless, directionless and purposeless. What should I do next? What's my next career move? Do I really want to go back to the corporate world? Would I want to open up a cafe in Singapore?
Questions, questions, questions.....and yet, my mind remained in a dark blank space.
Then a thought was put into my head....what about coaching? That voice that spoke to me was as clear and loud as the voice that told me to leave my banking career to open up a cafe in Cupertino, CA (US). And so, I heeded that calling. After some research, I decided on training with the Coaches Training Institute.
Thus began a learning journey where I spent 5 entire weekends with a bunch of initial strangers, whom I now embrace as members of this great community. I didn't just learn to be a coach during those intense weekends. I coached. I was coached. I cried (lots!). I laughed. At times, I felt strong. And there were also plenty of times when I felt so vulnerable. But I felt ready to go out there and make an impact in this world.
I have gone through a personal transformation that is so strong and powerful, that I am now on a mission to pass that on to others. So, here I am, starting out on my journey as a coach. My wish is to spark the fire in my clients’ lives, so that they live their lives with fulfilment and balance.
